And so, in order to explore techniques in this practice, the NPUST Department of Business Administration, Professional College, and Department of Fashion Design and Management jointly invited popular commercial and industry photographer, Mr. Clement Wei, to hold a workshop at the university. The “Architecture and Fashion Portrait Photography Workshop” was held at the university on August 27th and 28th, during which time Wei gave students tips on how to find suitable locations for shooting commercial photos and also kindly donated some commercial photography light control equipment to the Department of Business Administration to be used for teaching.

Commenting on the event, the director of the Department of Business Administration, Chan-Wei Tsai, expressed his gratitude to Ms. Hsiu-Tsu Chen from the Department of Fashion Design and Management for her professionalism and assistance in styling, makeup and hair. He then went on to explain that “after graduating from the Department of Business Administration, most students go on to work as marketing specialists or project managers in the industry, and many of them have opportunities to work with photographers, lighting specialists and retouchers while working on projects. So, from the initial ideation and inspiration to the team formation, location selection, scheduling, post-production, and the designing of finished product, they must be very skilled in handling every detail. This photography workshop allows students to get a fuller experience of the professional processes of the industry, and is a great learning experience”.

Director of Zooshoots Co., Ltd., Clement Wei, said “I hope that this is an impactful and valuable learning experience for the students and that it will help them to have a more professional eye and frame of view in their work. And also that in the future, they will be able to experience excellent career development”.

Clement Wei is the company director and photography director of Zooshoots Co. Ltd. and has been instructing at the NPUST Professional College for several years now. Recognizing that NPUST currently does not have a program that brings together marketing and image design, Wei wanted to use the occasion to donate commercial photography light control equipment of the Department of Business Administration to help train students who are interested in developing their expertise in this area.

The Department of Business Administration is focused on strengthening students’ practical skills in marketing. To facilitate this effort, it has been working with other departments and colleges at the university to offer cross-domain micro-courses on self-media marketing for several years now. With funding coming from the Higher Education Sprout Project, the department has been holding classes on “basic photography”, “image post-production”, “marketing planning”, ” copywriting” and “community marketing” for students who are interested. And for those who would like to pursue more advanced levels of professional marketing, their master’s program is a great opportunity.

[35
31
14,22
post-3511","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","colleges-college-of-management","visions-platinum-society","sdgs-quality-education","sdgs-responsible-consumption-and-production
["GET
