The exhibition, which has been set up at the university Library and Exhibition Hall, puts a spotlight on each of the school\u2019s pioneering academics who have been named among the \u201cTop Ten Outstanding Agricultural Experts\u201d by the Taiwan Outstanding Agriculturists Association, by showcasing their professional leadership and the outstanding contributions that they have made in various agricultural fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the exhibition, which was kicked off by university president Chin-Lung Chang, NPUST hopes to inspire its students to follow in the footsteps of these giants in the pursuit of greater heights. In his speech, President Chang said \u201c\u2018standing on the shoulders of giants\u2019 means benefiting from the wisdom and innovative research of our predecessors, and constantly transcending ourselves as we move towards higher places. These experts in their fields have taken a lifetime of precious academic experience and paved a path for us, so that we can fearlessly explore the unknown. This exhibition presents the achievements of their hard work\u2014not only highlighting their contributions to the academic world, but also the profound impact they have had on the entire society.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 10 outstanding professors are being showcased at the exhibition, including: Professor Liang Chou Hsia, \u201cthe authority on livestock breeding\u201d; Professor Chung-Ruey Yen, \u201cthe father of emerging tropical fruit trees\u201d ; Professor Fure-Chyi Chen, \u201cthe orchid king\u201d; Professor Tzou-Chi Huang, \u201cthe champion of pesticide free lemons\u201d; Professor Niann-Tai Chang, \u201cthe plant doctor\u201d; Professor Mei-Hui Chen, \u201cthe navigator of under forest economies\u201d; Professor Shih-Chu Chen, \u201cthe expert on aquatic animal diseases\u201d; Professor Jung-He Wang, \u201cthe godfather of organic agriculture\u201d; Professor Win-Ton Cheng, \u201cthe expert aquaculturist\u201d; and Professor Pao-Chuan Hsieh \u201cthe father of soy sauce\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A commemorative video premiered during the opening ceremony, highlighting the professor\u2019s contributions.
