The course content included the basic understanding of protected trees and invasive plants, and let teachers and students experience the investigation process and health inspection of protected trees, including the use of traditional instruments to measure the diameter and height of trees for basic investigations, and the operation of rare non-destructive inspection instruments\u2014percussion sonic detectors and digital probes. In addition to engaging teachers and students with the operation and use of the instrument, they can also learn more about tree health testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It takes ten years to grow a tree, but a hundred years to bring up a generation of good man&#8221;, the Department of Forestry assisted the Pingtung County Government in conducting a census of protected trees and introducing smart forestry equipment. In addition to embodying the NPUST\u2019s spirit of &#8220;High-Tech Agriculture&#8221;, training courses and promotion activities were held to realize the social responsibility of educating people
