On December 1st, our university held a signing ceremony for a strategic alliance with 17 secondary schools at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences auditorium. This collaboration aims to establish partnerships and cooperative alliances, fostering a mutually beneficial academic model. The strategic alliance includes 5 junior high schools, 4 senior high schools, and 8 senior vocational high schools, many of which are well-known public schools in the southern region.
President Dai Chang-Xian stated, “In response to global sustainability challenges, NPUST actively promotes the integration of resources across departments and collaboration with industry partners. The results of our research and development in circular economy are fruitful. Through this strategic alliance, we hope to share the innovative academic achievements and resources of our university, driving the overall development of secondary schools in school administration, teacher instruction, and student learning. We are pleased that this is the beginning and opportunity for everyone to collaborate, creating a win-win situation for academia and contributing to the improvement of education.” Principal Lin Jian-Hong of Fengshan Commercial and Industrial Vocational High School, one of the participating schools, expressed gratitude, saying, “With the current implementation of the 108 new curriculum, there is an urgent need to upgrade the content of professional courses in various subjects at the senior vocational level, and the teaching abilities of teachers also need to be enhanced. I am very grateful to NPUST for initiating the strategic alliance, injecting the abundant academic resources from the university into the teaching field of senior vocational schools to address the urgent needs.”
NPUST has demonstrated significant achievements in promoting social responsibility, receiving two Model Awards from CommonWealth Magazine this year. Through this strategic alliance, the university can leverage its substantial expertise to continue making an impact on the practical implementation of educational responsibilities, assisting secondary schools in professional development and elevating the overall educational standards.
