The donation ceremony was jointly held by Mr. Ho Shih-Jung, Manager of Guorui Automobile, and President Chang Chin-Long at 11:00 am today (12/14) in front of the administration building.

President Chang Chin-Long of the university expressed gratitude for the donation, saying, “The Vehicle Engineering Department at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology not only specializes in vehicle design and manufacturing but has also, in recent years, offered a variety of interdisciplinary courses in line with the trends of the electric vehicle industry. This donation of a hybrid electric vehicle from Guorui Automobile will help students observe and analyze the actual vehicle in practical operation courses, making technical learning more effective.”

Mr. Ho Shih-Jung, Manager of Guorui Automobile, stated, “Guorui Automobile actively supports education and assists schools by allowing students to encounter the latest models during practical courses. This enables school equipment to be in sync with the industry, reducing the gap between learning and application. It enhances the quality of vocational education and strengthens students’ expertise and competitiveness. We hope that students can integrate theory with practice, extend their technical knowledge, and refine their professional skills, contributing to the cultivation of professionals in Taiwan’s automotive industry.”

The Vehicle Engineering Department mainly focuses on teaching objectives such as green power systems, vehicle electronics, and vehicle structures and materials. The development of safe and intelligent new-generation green power smart vehicles is the direction for future development. The TOYOTA COROLLA ALTIS HYBRID donated by Guorui Automobile is one of the company’s currently popular models. It not only allows students to conduct operations during internships and observe the design of core components but also provides an opportunity for students to closely understand the design details of new vehicle models.

The department places special emphasis on research and development in areas such as new energy, new power systems, innovative vehicle designs, lightweight alloy structures and new processes, comprehensive structural safety design, automotive sensor chips, innovative automotive function chips, driver information systems (Telematic), and automotive electronics. With the support of Guorui Automobile, students will have access to a diverse range of internship vehicles for various testing simulations, learning how to troubleshoot and inspect system faults. This knowledge will be crucial for vehicle design.

Appreciation is extended to Guorui Automobile for their commitment to education, assisting in enhancing student learning equipment, and creating a good environment for talent cultivation. The collaboration promotes the integration of teaching, research, and practice, enabling students to possess the professional skills required by the industry upon graduation.
