On October 26, 2022, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) and CECI Engineering Consultants, Inc. (CECI) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for the purpose of developing a cooperative relationship with one another that focuses on cultivating talent, strengthening technology R&D, and improving the quality engineering in Taiwan.
The agreement was signed by CECI Chairman Yi-fang Shih and NPUST President Chin-Lung Chang at the First Meeting room in the NPUST Administration Hall. Eighteen senior executives from CECI came to the university to join NPUST’s senior administrators and faculty members for the signing ceremony.
NPUST President Chin-Lung Chang said “NPUST started out in agriculture in its early days. In more recent years, whether it be agriculture, engineering, management or humanities, the university is expanding in more diversified directions and continuously following an educational philosophy focused on professionalism, holisticism and internationalism. Through our cooperation with CECI, we hope to achieve good interaction and communication in such professional fields as civil engineering, water conservation, environmental impact assessments, engineering management, and machinery. And we hope that CECI will be able to provide more guidance to NPUST in the future”.
CECI Chairman Yi-fang Shih said “CECI adheres to a tradition of integrity, humility and enthusiasm. We have carried out many well-known projects in Taiwan—working to cultivate Taiwan and serve the people. We are always embracing professional, people-oriented, and happy objectives as we spread the abundant technology and experiences accumulated in Taiwan out to the world.”
The signing of the MOU is expected to bring into play a stronger synergistic effect between the parties and create an all-around win for local industry, academics and the general public.
