On March 3rd (2022), NPUST was invited to stand among other top performers at Cheers Magazine’s 8th Top 20 University Performance Growth Awards. Not only was NPUST honored to place 19th in the country for its performance growth, the university also ranked 29th on the list of “Top 30 Universities for Students Most Favored amongst Large Enterprises” and 7th on the list of “Industry’s Top 10 Most Favored Technical Vocational Schools”. NPUST’s President, Dr. Chang-Hsien Tai attended the ceremony and received the award on behalf of the school.
NPUST plans to continue to improve the technical and vocational education environment in Taiwan, not only by “committing to industry-university cooperation”, but also by “adding depth to its roots in professional fields.” The university is dedicated to creating a professional learning environment for its students, laying a solid foundation for them and preparing them for professional self-improvement. In terms of industry-academic performance, the school has seen fruitful results. Connections have been made to match students from different areas of learning with local industries, foundations, and business associations and work is being done to train talent that can meet the current needs of industry. Students are encouraged to strengthen their interdisciplinary learning, social care, humanistic literacy, communication, and abilities to coordinate. Through all this, a situation is created that benefits the university, the students, and businesses alike.
The whole school shares in the honor of these latest awards. And with a sense of gratitude amongst students for the guidance they have received from their teachers and seniors, they are encouraged to make the best use of the resources available to them during their time at the school. By investing in cross-discipline learning, in the future, they will be set up on paths that will lead to many more opportunities.
