為鼓勵教師跨領域學術研究及跨域產學研究；推動教師組成跨領域特色教學團隊、開設跨系所跨學院課程模組及開放系/學位學程之課程，推廣學生修讀第二專長；鼓勵教師開設跨領域整合性與創新教學方式課程，培育學生跨領域專業技能等，本校訂定各項獎勵辦法，獎勵績效傑出人員。

To encourage teachers’ interdisciplinary academic research and interdisciplinary industry-academic research, promote the formation of interdisciplinary teaching teams, offer interdisciplinary course modules across departments and colleges, and open courses for departments/degree programs, and encourage students to pursue a second major, the university has established various reward mechanisms to recognize outstanding performance and contributions of faculty members in promoting interdisciplinary education and innovative teaching methods to cultivate students’ interdisciplinary professional skills.

AI、IoT、大數據的科技浪潮，為傳統農業掀起智慧革命。本校設置完善跨領域教學研究設備與建築，推展 SDGs 議題中有關「農業生產」、「環境生態」、「老年福祉」及「社會責任」之人才培育、研發、產學合作及社會服務。

近年來新建「智慧農機中心為永續農業研究基地」、「永續研發中心」、「智慧機電館」、「大數據中心」、「水產養殖保種中心」、「健身運動產業人才培育基地」等，培養學生跨領域專業能力，接軌產業，且皆對應聯合國永續發展目標，呼應追求淨零碳排的全球競合，導入永續的治校方針，以培育未來通往碳權世界人才的硬實力。

The advent of technology waves such as AI, IoT, and Big Data has sparked an intelligent revolution in traditional agriculture. Our university has established comprehensive cross-disciplinary teaching and research facilities, promoting talent cultivation, research and development, industry-academic collaboration, and community service related to SDGs themes, including “agricultural production,” “environmental ecology,” “elderly welfare,” and “social responsibility.”

In recent years, we have built new facilities such as the “Smart Agriculture Machinery Center as a Sustainable Agriculture Research Base,” the “Sustainability Research and Development Center,” the “Smart Mechatronics Building,” the “Big Data Center,” the “Aquaculture Breeding and Conservation Center,” and the “Fitness and Sports Industry Talent Development Base.” These aim to cultivate students’ cross-disciplinary expertise, align with industry needs, correspond to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and resonate with the global pursuit of net-zero carbon emissions. This reflects our commitment to a sustainable governance approach to foster talent for the carbon-neutral world of the future.

1. 智慧農業生產示範基地：

   整合農、工、管理、人文、獸醫、國際學院及研究總中心等6個院16個系所之跨領域團隊共同開發產品及系統，為全國唯一之類產業等級之作物栽培及循環農業教學級示範場域。

   Smart Agriculture Production Demonstration Base: Integrating interdisciplinary teams from six colleges, including Agriculture, Engineering, Management, Humanities, Veterinary Medicine, the International College, and the Research Center, with a total of 16 departments. This collaborative effort aims to develop products and systems, establishing a national-level demonstration site for crop cultivation and circular agriculture.

2. 永續研發中心：

   由先進綠能技術、農林循環經濟創值、生質能源循環、畜牧環境永續科技等團隊組成，發展再生能源的採集、儲存與利用。

   Sustainability Research and Development Center: Comprising teams specializing in advanced green energy technology, agricultural and forestry circular economy value creation, bioenergy circulation, and sustainable environmental technology for livestock. The center focuses on the collection, storage, and utilization of renewable energy.

3. 智慧機電館：

   開設多項AI人工智慧、機電、機器人工程師、農工業自動化等相關課程，提供全校學生跨域學習同時亦能考照的場域。

   Smart Mechatronics Building: Offering various courses related to AI, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, robotics engineering, agricultural and industrial automation. The facility provides students with a space for cross-disciplinary learning while enabling them to pursue relevant certifications.

4. 大數據中心：

   提供師生大數據研究的相關服務需求，促使屏科大在資料收集、分析、應用與大數據研究上能夠有前瞻性的發展。

   Big Data Center: Addressing the research-related service needs of faculty and students in big data studies. The center facilitates forward-looking development in data collection, analysis, application, and big data research.

本校成立多個中心提供支持：

「研究總中心」結合農業、人文、商業與資訊、工程技術及生活應用等多個研究中心，作為跨學科研究的核心支援平台，專責單位協助跨學科研究計畫的管理和推進。

「跨領域特色研究中心」與「研究發展處」帶入「智慧鏈結」與「跨域整合」為核心，組成兼具跨領域特色研究團隊，強化跨領域的產學合作，技術推廣並走向國際化。

「永續發展辦公室」資源統籌，整合研究人力及各項資源，強化永續與社會責任之跨單位與跨域整合，深化永續發展行動，並組成「永續發展諮詢委員會」，負責相關議題之因應政策與執行策略的研擬，打造出跨域、跨界、跨國的交流平台。

NPUST provide specific administrative support:

“General Research Service Center”: This center integrates 44 centers across agriculture, humanities, business and information, engineering technology, and applied sciences, serving as a core support platform for interdisciplinary research. Dedicated units assist in the management and advancement of interdisciplinary research projects.

“Center of Interdisciplinary feature Development” and the “Office of Research and Development”: These entities emphasize “smart connectivity” and “interdisciplinary integration” as their core principles. They form research teams with distinctive interdisciplinary features to enhance industry-academia collaboration, facilitate technology transfer, and drive internationalization.

” Sustainable Development Office” consolidates research personnel and resources to enhance cross-unit and interdisciplinary integration in sustainability and social responsibility, advancing sustainable development initiatives.

教師升等依據本校「專任教師聘任及升等審查辦法」、編制外專任教學人員聘任及升等辦法」辦理晉升。教師不分性別，經由校內初審、複審、校外委員審查及校內決審其專業成就、教學、研究及服務與輔導成績，以公平公正方式進行教師升等資格審定。

The promotion of faculty members follows the guidelines set forth in our university’s “Regulations for the Appointment and Promotion Review of Full-time Faculty” and “Regulations for the Appointment and Promotion of Full-time Teaching Personnel Outside the Established Quota.” Regardless of gender, teachers undergo a rigorous evaluation process, including internal preliminary review, secondary review, external committee evaluation, and final internal decision-making.

The evaluation assesses the professional achievements, teaching performance, research contributions, and service and guidance records of faculty members. This comprehensive and fair process ensures the qualification for faculty promotions.
